Meet the University of Mobile Alumni Council

The University of Mobile Alumni Council serves as an advisory council to UM’s Office for Alumni Relations and acts as a voice for the UM Alumni Association to the university. The council’s goal is to promote the university and its alumni by fostering relationships with fellow graduates for the benefit of continuing the mission of the university and sharing feedback and suggestions with the Office for Alumni Relations.

Erin Will Harris ’96 | Chairperson
As chair of the UM Alumni Council, I hope to help connect alumni and current students and engage with all to be a light in the world.

Rachel Croom ’14 | Vice Chairperson
I look forward to helping strengthen our alumni association into a close-knit community where we connect past students to the current university’s mission and goals.

Scott Peters ’96
I am excited to see and encourage our alumni to be more involved. Staying in contact with classmates and professors is special. It makes it all the more special now, having a daughter who attends UM.

Ashlyn Nichols Mitchell ’22
As an alumna, I am honored to say I’ve graduated from UM. UM has provided me with all the skills and tools I need to thrive in my current professional career. But it’s so much deeper than that…I’ve been spiritually prepared to be a light in a broken world.

Charlie Brown ’79 & ’14
I love the university and have had a continuous attachment. The camaraderie of friendship and belonging to a “family” is special.

Ira Bates ’04
UM is special. I want to see more alumni join together to serve a common purpose, while also being served by one another.

Parker Elkins ’14
I love our university’s biblical foundation. The character and integrity the University of Mobile strives to instill in everything they do is what I value most as an alumnus. I am very honored to call the University of Mobile my university and to serve on this council.
